Night Porter job in Ireland

Objective of the Role:

As a Night Porter, your primary objective is to assist the Night Manager during the night shift, ensuring the security of the hotel and guests. You will also be responsible for reception duties and maintaining the agreed-upon standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Guest Check-In/Out: Check in and out hotel guests as needed, and assist with guest requests, particularly related to luggage and porterage.
• Cleaning: Be responsible for the cleanliness of various hotel areas, including the lobby, back office, stairways, restaurant, bar floor, public and staff areas, and meeting rooms. Follow nightly checklists for cleaning tasks, which may include setting up function rooms and the breakfast area.
• Exterior Maintenance: Maintain the front entrance and outside areas of the hotel, ensuring they are clean and tidy at all times. This includes tasks like emptying bins and picking up rubbish.
• Safety: Possess a full understanding of the hotel’s fire procedures to ensure the safety of all staff and guests at all times.

Requirements:

• Hospitality Experience: Ideal candidates will have previous experience in the hospitality industry.
• Initiative: The ability to work independently and take initiative, as well as collaborate effectively within a team.
