About Us:

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Cleaning Supervisor to lead a team of cleaners across three large schools in the Hackney area. This role is a working supervisor position, where the suitable applicant will oversee other cleaners while also performing cleaning duties within the school premises.

Duties/Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that cleaning across the Mossbourne school sites is consistently maintained at a high standard.
• Comply with the service level agreement and ensure that all areas are cleaned daily, providing cover when staff absence occurs.
• Ensure the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and uniforms during working hours.
• Collaborate with the Area Supervisor, site-based supervisors, and cleaning staff, taking instruction and advice as needed.
• Manage core functions of Contract Cleaning and annual Deep Cleaning.
• Ensure contract compliance in line with the contract specifications.
• Perform performance management and development of the Cleaning Team Leaders and Operatives.
• Manage the areas covered by the contract by creating and implementing a clear cleaning program, ensuring understanding and maintenance of the cleaning specification requirements to meet client satisfaction.
• Coach and motivate colleagues to deliver services in line with our and the client’s values and contract specifications, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Monitor staff performance and behavior, addressing any performance or behavior issues in consultation with the Contract Manager and Human Resources.
