Senior Waiter / Waitress job in New Zealand

Job Description:

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Senior Waiters and Waitresses to join our team in New Zealand. As a Senior Waiter / Waitress, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service in our restaurant. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Supervise and mentor junior waitstaff, assisting in their training and development.
• Collaborate with the restaurant management team to ensure smooth service operations.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints.
• Set up and maintain dining areas, including preparing tables and arranging decorations.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in the dining area.
• Assist in inventory management and restocking supplies.
• Provide guidance to customers on menu items and specials.
• Handle payments and process bills accurately.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Waiter or Waitress in a high-end restaurant or fine dining establishment.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and etiquette.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and supervise junior staff effectively.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
• Food safety and responsible alcohol service certifications are a plus.
• Fluent English language skills.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
