We are seeking a Fish Cutter/Picker to join our production team at the Helsinki Wholesale Market. Whether you’re an experienced industry professional or just starting out, we welcome individuals with a passion for working with seafood. Your role will encompass a range of responsibilities, from fish cutting and plucking to processing and maintenance activities. We also provide training opportunities for more advanced tasks such as smoking and fine cutting.

Responsibilities:

• Fish Cutting and Picking:
  • Expertly cut, pluck, and massage fish according to quality standards.
  • Perform tasks efficiently and accurately to meet production demands.
• Processing and Maintenance:
  • Engage in essential processing activities, such as workplace cleaning and maintenance.
  • Contribute to the overall cleanliness and organization of the workspace.
• Skill Development:
  • Participate in training programs to enhance your skills, especially in advanced breeding tasks like smoking and fine cutting.
• Language Skills:
  • Knowledge of Finnish is advantageous, but proficiency in English is also acceptable.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in the seafood industry is a plus but not mandatory. We welcome both experienced professionals and beginners.
• Ability to work with precision and attention to detail, ensuring the quality of our products.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced production environment.
• Willingness to learn and train in various aspects of seafood processing.
• Flexibility with working hours, particularly mornings, and a willingness to explore evening shift options.

Compensation:

• Salary will be adjusted based on your skills and experience, with a starting rate from €13/hour.
