Delivery Driver job in Ireland
Responsibilities:
- Review orders thoroughly before delivery.
- Conduct a comprehensive vehicle inspection before departure.
- Safely and efficiently load delivery items.
- Transport, unload, and deliver items securely to prevent damage, spoilage, or loss.
- Follow customer specifications regarding delivery.
- Adhere to time and route schedules.
- Navigate routes using relevant map programs, considering factors like traffic congestion and construction.
- Communicate traffic delays and other concerns to dispatch as needed.
- Obtain delivery confirmation from customers.
- Assist fellow drivers who may be behind on their deliveries.
- Check in with dispatch upon completing deliveries before heading back to base.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license, category B, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Prior delivery van experience is advantageous (3 years or more).
- Applicant must be 25 years or older due to insurance requirements.
Role:
- Independent Contractor – Self Employed.
Salary/Benefits:
- Pay: €126 – €150 per day.
- Bank Holiday Bonus: Additional €14 per day.
Working Conditions:
- Availability to work a minimum of 5 days a week, including weekends.
- Daily shifts of 9 hours.
