Key Responsibilities:

Crop Workers may be responsible for some or all of the following tasks:

• Preparing soil for planting crops.
• Planting a variety of crops, such as grains, fruit, mushrooms, nuts, or vegetables.
• Maintaining crops, which involves activities like weeding, spraying, pruning, thinning, fertilizing, and watering.
• Conducting quality checks on crops to ensure they meet the required standards.
• Implementing pest and disease control measures to protect the crops.
• Harvesting crops by picking, sorting, and packing them.
• Operating vehicles and machinery, including forklifts, hydraladas, tractors, and motorbikes.
• Assisting with the general maintenance of farm buildings, fences, and other structures.

Skills and Knowledge:

Crop Workers should possess the following knowledge and skills:

• Understanding of crop cultivation and harvesting techniques.
• Knowledge of crop diseases, weeds, and pests, along with methods to control them.
• Familiarity with local climate and weather conditions affecting crop growth.
• Awareness of food safety, market certification, and quality requirements.
• Competence in applying agricultural fertilizers and chemicals safely.
• Basic knowledge of general maintenance and mechanics.
