Responsibilities

Tasks:

  • Demonstrate professionalism in customer service
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Load and unload goods
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required for international routes
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods

Credentials:

  • AZ class license

Experience and Specialisation:

  • Documentation Knowledge: Bill of lading, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trans-border documentation, Trip reports

Transportation/Travel Experience:

  • Long-haul, Provincial/territorial

Additional Information
